Write a four- to five-page paper in which you:
Explain the driving factors and benefits for expertise transfer system developed for the Defense Ammunition Center.
Explain the major obstacles organizations might encounter when implementing a knowledge management system and explain how organizations can overcome these obstacles to be successful.
Explain the concept and reasoning behind the term knowledge nugget and the features incorporated into knowledge nuggets.
Identify other organizations, departments or teams that could use a similar system and explain the potential benefits.

The video was made in 2005 and while the technology is outdated, the principles of standing up a community of practice and a knowledge management system are still relevant. Since this video was made, the Company Commander site has been incorporated into the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) and serves over 150,000 people. Describe the culture of the company commanders and how it enabled knowledge sharing. What do you think were the cultural barriers and issues of trying to grow the Company Commander site? What would some of the issues be when trying to implement knowledge management systems across the Army?
