You must pick a character, either real or fictional, and analyze that character based on the sociological imagination and the looking glass self. The character should be someone whose (real or fictional) life takes place in modern American society. Students must make a persuasive argument discussing whether the character’s behavior was or was not influenced by societal factors and by others’ perceptions of them.
The goal of this presentation is to persuade your audience of your argument
Students should cite Chapter 7 of the iBook. To deepen their understanding of the theory, students will use the Lynn Library website and database to find two peer reviewed sources about the theories being discussed
