Mechanics homework

well into your everyday life, describing the motion, forces and energy of ordinary experience. For everyday living, activities, sports, and amusement (such as movies and cartoons), you might take for granted exploit the rules of Mechanics of physics. Now after taking the Mechanics Class, Please select 8-10 examples where you deem the laws of mechanics are beautifully demonstrated, followed or severely misunderstood by most of people. You could also choose a small clip from a movie or cartoon, in which scenes where the laws of physics are violated. For all the examples you are presented, please describe the problems clearly. Make measurements or at least some estimated numbers, for each steps, please use physics concepts and equations to demonstrate the logic behind these examples and explain explicitly why it follows the laws of physics. For some scenes or segments in the movies/cartoons, which are not physically possible, explain thoroughly why and how. For some phenomena which are often-misinterpreted/understood by general public, first list what is wrong interpretation, and then provide the correct physics understanding of these phenomena. I would expect every example you listed will have the equations we learned from this class, and some specific calculations (can be based on estimated numbers or some specific numbers which you should cite their resources) to support why it is physically making sense or physically impossible. I have gone through some examples during the lecture, which could be used as your base line for examples.
